We recommend starting your campaign prep 90-120 days before launch. This allows ample time to build a visually exciting campaign, create clear messaging, and warm up your audience for the big day.

Kickstarter allows campaigns to run between 1 to 60 days. Most successful campaigns last around 21 – 30 days, striking a balance between creating urgency and exclusivity and allowing enough time for promotion.

Yes, having an established audience or fanbase is essential. Neither Kickstarter nor The INKfluence can provide you with an audience. Building your fanbase ahead of time is key to hitting your funding goals.

The key to rapid funding is a strong pre-launch. By focusing on pre-launch marketing, you’ll build excitement and momentum, making it possible to reach your funding goal on day one.

Use social media, email marketing, influencers, email & backer swaps with other creators, and run Ads to spread the word about your campaign. A strong pre-launch strategy will also help build momentum before you even go live.

While we provide strategic support, all financial decisions, including budgeting, pricing, and shipping fees, are ultimately your responsibility. We’re not financial advisors, but we’ll help you think through each step.

Stretch goals and flash rewards incentivize backers to continue supporting your campaign after it’s funded. These extra rewards keep the excitement going and encourage your audience to share your campaign, helping it grow.

There are lots of variables and these can differ for each campaign but here are some to take into account. At the INKfluence, we charge $1500 to book your month and start working together. Then we take an additional percentage from the raised funds. You should also account for Kickstarter’s fees, which are typically 5% of the total funds raised, plus payment processing fees of 3-5%.

Yes! Kickstarter is available in multiple countries. However, your country needs to be one of the eligible ones listed on Kickstarter, and you’ll need to have a bank account in that country.

If your campaign doesn’t meet its goal by the deadline, Kickstarter operates on an all-or-nothing model, meaning no money is collected and your backers won’t be charged. However, you can always relaunch with adjustments!

A video is one of the most important aspects of your campaign. Campaigns with a video are significantly more likely to succeed, as it helps potential backers connect with your story and vision. At The INKfluence, we will create one for you. Whether that is an edited version of your own video, a book trailer, or a combination of both.

Rewards should be enticing and relevant to your project. Early bird specials, exclusive editions, and behind-the-scenes access are popular choices. Consider adding stretch goals or flash rewards to keep backers excited throughout the campaign.

Regular updates are key to keeping your backers excited. Share progress, offer sneak peeks of rewards, and introduce stretch goals or bonus rewards to maintain interest.

You can edit certain aspects of your campaign, like story content and images, but major changes (such as the funding goal or backed rewards) cannot be made once the campaign goes live.

After a successful campaign, you’ll need to fulfill your rewards and manage shipping. Kickstarter releases the funds to you after a 14-day waiting period, so you can start bringing your project to life.

Funds raised on Kickstarter are generally considered income, and you may be responsible for taxes depending on your location and how the funds are used. It’s a good idea to consult with a tax professional to understand your obligations.

We don’t handle fulfillment directly, but we have partnered with Laguna Studios, who can take care of this for you. Check out their services if you need assistance with warehousing and shipping.

Yes, Kickstarter now allows Late Pledges, which means backers can still support a project even after the campaign has ended successfully. This feature enables creators to continue collecting pledges and offering rewards beyond the campaign’s official end. But this will have to be turned off once you start fulfilling the rewards.
