The key benefit of printing outside of China is less restriction on the content that can be printed. China has restrictions on maps, political and sexual content. We don’t have to worry about any of these issues at our other facilities.
We frequently produce a variety of materials for our clients outside of China, including political books, graphic novels with explicit content, and NSFW art. Many clients also choose to print in these regions to diversify their supply chains. Korea boasts a robust paper manufacturing industry, and our Southeast Asian factories use a mix of Korean, Chinese, and Thai papers.
So, what does this mean for the author community?
Printing outside of China opens up the possibilities of what you can print due to restrictions on certain content. This means that all the NSFW artwork you’ve been eager to create can indeed be produced internationally. However, there is a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 500 books per title, and the cost is approximately 25% higher than production in mainland China.
